About Tricia Spitzmueller

tricia photoFiber Artist
I specialize in contemporary quilts, dolls, dying/surface design and garment making. Vibrant color, intriguing images and humorous innuendos give my work its signature. My quilts are "colorful, inspiring, honest and generous." I give workshops and retreats and lecture on a variety of topics including rejuvenation of the inner spirit, creativity, finding your passion, and tapping into healing energy.

Teacher and Speaker
Since 1992, I have spoken and given workshops to thousands of people in over 100 venues throughout the USA and abroad, including international symposiums, textile centers, galleries, exhibitions, quilt guilds, hospitals and retreat centers. I am also the recipient of the prestigious 2007-2008 Jewel Pearce Patterson Award given by Quilter's Inc, Houston, Texas to one teacher internationally per year.

My Work
My work has won many national awards and has been purchased by universities, hospitals, schools and sells in art galleries in Minneapolis. Commissioned work is in the private collection of art collectors worldwide.
