SOUL Retreat
|
|||||||||
A retreat designed for doll makers, quilters or crafters of any kind. Need time off to doze, relax, laugh and discover? Let a doll make itself through your hands! Begin with the basics of non-intimidating doll making. In between food and naps, retreatants will sew an original S.O.U.L doll from the Quirky Doll collection of Tricia Spitzmueller learning all the secrets of unbreakable seams, quick turn methods, effortless stuffing and fanciful gesture. Tricia will teach you the tricks to successfully paint a doll face, and how to clothe and accessorize your emerging creation in fanciful and kicky ways. Hats, hair, beads and bobbles, shoes and accessories will complete your doll’s personality. Tricia will bring her own collection of QUIRKY DOLLS for inspiration. At the end of the retreat, we will have a naming ceremony and let your dolls “tell their story” to each other. Be ready to come and play dolls! Basic sewing skills and the ability to kick back and laugh are mandatory.

Journey Inward: Processing Our Interior Landscapes
» A two-day retreat
This Journey Inward retreat is meant to be a gorgeous time to center, relax and explore your inner landscape using cloth and paints as the medium. To be in common space with other explorers accelerates the connection and creates greater energy and flow. This is a non-results orientated retreat that centers on connecting with oneself. Throughout the retreat we will do guided imagery and creativity exercises to move towards greater awakening and awareness. The beginning process will be to loosely paint on cloth, letting the brush and color guide you. The retreat deepens over the course of the weekend to rekindle and connect the natural flow within you. We will begin to make "marks" on our cloth, perhaps embellish it, and even quilt it. I will be there to guide and to support your process. (Size limit of 15. I will bring an assistant if the numbers are larger and will charge $75 extra per student) |
An Introduction to Dream Work and It's Application to Living a Life of Awareness
» One hour or half day lecture
Have you ever had a dream that won't let go of you? Have you ever had a dream where you're flying or running, being chased or looking for a lost item? Are you someone who never has dreams and want to know why or how you can begin? Dreams are like a letter from your best friend. Unreflected upon, they remain like an unread letter. Enjoy this fast pace, informative hour on the dreams and dreamer within you.
*This retreat can also be extended to a full day or weekend with elements of creating sacred tools such as a dream journal and/or dream pillow. Additional periods utilizing dream group process and personal time of reflection would be incorporated. Extended to a weekend, this retreat would emphasize discovery, creating clear channels for dreaming and rest.
Look deep into your heart. What do you see? A longing to be free, whole, healed? We all come into this world to accomplish our soul lessons. Energetic healing assists in this process by accessing that place within that has this knowledge both at a cellular level and spiritual level. Come listen as Tricia guides you to a deeper understanding of the amazing potential inside each one of us. The possibilities are limitless and the application profound.
The Enneagram is a modern tool used to help people discover their inner orientation to the world. Discover a new freedom and ability to begin the transformational process toward integration and wholeness. This day uses humor and levity along with process and reflection to give participants a running start on greater self-understanding. Much like the Myers/Briggs Personality Indicator, the Enneagram is a good tool to use with groups of people who work together. Whether as an individual or a group, this retreat will help you to understand, respect, work with and appreciate innate differences in yourself and other's orientation to the world.
Are you in need of inspiration? Is your spirit begging you to stretch, wake up and become vital? Creativity sometimes gets stuck. In this retreat, Tricia uses her experience in energy and bodywork, spiritual direction, and art to lead you through a day of inspiration and opening. You will be treated to a lively presentation that incorporates new possibilities for creativity, followed by playful exercises both of mind and body. Tricia then takes you through a guided imagery, and reflection and the day concludes with the assembly of a small collage, which celebrates the essence of reawakened joy and creativity within you. Wake up! Renew you inner resources. Open your centers of creativity! Materials fee $10 per person.
*We will need several irons and ironing surfaces as well as tables to work on.
Come and see what is moving and stirring in the depth of your being. This day of reflection and retreat offers an open door to the Inner Spirit of Wisdom dwelling within you. We give it expression and let it speak to us through meditation and creative play. Through the prayer of playing, an Inner Spirit wrap doll emerges. We will be using the simple materials of bottles, batting, yarn, fabric and found or recycled “treasures” to allow a doll to be created through our hands. The Inner Spirit doll is made from the African Wrap Doll concept where the maker lets go and is shown by the emerging doll how to release and give form to the Wisdom Voice born from within. Bring a symbol or article that you would like to incorporate into your Inner Spirit Doll. A feather, leaves, or other natural materials or even a grandmother's baptismal ring or hanky can be incorporated into this doll. The Inner Spirit Figure that creates itself right in front of you through your hands will be yours to take home to continue to bring forth the wise voice of your Inner True Self. Materials Fee: $10
